siena void academySiena Oristaglio (Founder, CEO of The Void Academy) is an artist, activist, educator, and communications specialist. Her international work before founding The Void Academy (with Marina Abramovic Institute, Le Laboratoire, Urbano Project, Teens for Technology, and Bialik-Rogozin School for Children of Transnational Migrant Workers) focused on educational initiatives at the intersection of art, technology, and social justice. She has 10 years of experience in communications and has lead high-profile international press campaigns with coverage in outlets such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Huffington Post. Siena has been a presentation leader at the MoMA, The Museum of Fine Arts, New York University, and Necker Island, among others.
As director of communications for Marina Abramovic Institute, she ran the non-profit’s successful 2013 Kickstarter campaign, raising over $660,000 in 30 days. Siena has represented artists and arts non-profits to established individuals and companies, including Lady Gaga, Richard Branson, Jay-Z, Tehching Hsieh, Kickstarter, Tumblr, TED, and Squarespace. She wants to make the world a better place for artists of all kinds, everywhere.
